Huawei has introduced a number of AI-powered features with the Mate 70 devices and one of them is the Air Gesture File Transfer feature. It seems that the tech giant will soon introduce this amazing capability in more flagship smartphones and tablets.
Air gesture file transfer is an interesting feature. It gives the power to easily manage file sharing operations. One can easily share any media, especially images, by simply waving their hands in the air, without touching the device's screen.
It's similar to the iPhone's AirDrop feature, but much more efficient. Users can use simple grip gestures to screenshot the display. Then, just move your hands to share the captured image across multiple phones or tablets.
According to a new input, the feature requires the same Huawei ID and account that the user is using before. Make sure not to allow two devices to detect the “grab” signal at the same time, otherwise, the file sharing operation will fail immediately.
Notably, Huawei Mate 60 and Pura 70 devices running on the latest HarmonyOS NEXT beta version also support the AI Air Gesture File Transfer feature.
Staff at Huawei's flagship store said the company will roll out the new AI gesture to more devices when the HarmonyOS NEXT software system is upgraded. However, users will have to wait for an official announcement on the matter.
The HarmonyOS NEXT beta version is currently available for the following devices:
- Huawei Mate 60 series
- Huawei Pura 70 series
- Huawei Pocket 2
- Huawei Mate X5
- Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2
- Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024
These models will probably be the first to get the new AI Air gesture file transfer feature in the near future. An official statement will clarify matters further.
